Instead of storing fingerprint images, the system only stores templates that are a numeric representation of the individual fingerprint. Templates can be used for matching, but the actual fingerprint cannot be reconstructed. It is gradually becoming common knowledge that biometrics actually protect personal privacy. You can rest assured that fingerprint images are not stored anywhere and can never be recreated from the encrypted digital templates.
