The beginning of every school year presents unique challenges that can be minimized by preparing for startup during the summer months. Horizon is committed to making your school startup a smooth one.
To simplify your service needs, Horizon has bundled the most commonly used services into one convenient package to help you with school startup and throughout the year.
NEW! Horizon’s new Annual Services Package helps you avoid the hassles of scheduling multiple services during the year. And, now that multiple Direct Certification imports are required, it makes even more sense to get set for the year with the services you need most. Here’s what is included:
- Summer rollover for both the Central Office and Sites
(POS, F&R, Application Scanning, Online Applications, MyPaymentsPlus, etc.) - Nine Direct Certification Imports (Scheduled monthly)
- Two complete district-wide upgrades for both front and back of house (Central office, sites, warehouse, and central kitchen)
- System audit (Pre/post Rollover)
- Pre-rollover backup
- Data archive (A separate database with previous year's data so you can pull any historical information and/or reports)
This bundled annual service package costs about the same as summer services alone, giving you a 25% discount off of retail service costs. The cost will vary slightly based on your number of sites. One agreement takes care of all of these services for the year; no more multiple agreements or remembering to request the services you need.

Central Office FastLane Upgrade
Package includes updating existing Central Office FastLane software to latest version available at the time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office VBOSS Upgrade *CWHS & CPF upgrade included at no additional cost
Package includes updating existing Central Office VBOSS software to latest version available at the time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office OneSource Upgrade
Package includes updating existing Central Office OneSource software to latest version available at the time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Systems Engineer via remote connectivity to Food Service Server. Note that remote connectivity to Central Office Food Service Server is a prerequisite for service.
Central Office Application Scanning Upgrade
Package includes updating existing Central Office Application Scanning software to latest version available at the time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office Free & Reduced Online Application Upgrade
Package includes updating existing Central Office Online Application Scanning software to latest version available at the time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Systems Engineer via remote connectivity to Food Service Server. Note that remote connectivity to Central Office Food Service Server is a prerequisite for service.
Remote Site FastLane or OneSource Upgrade (Per Site)
Package includes updating existing Site FastLane/OS/KS software to latest version available at time service is rendered. System upgrade includes manager machines and available line machines. Client will assume responsibility for line machines unavailable at time service is rendered. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Rollover Services
Central Office FastLane Rollover
Package includes rolling over the existing Central Office FastLane software per options selected by client. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office VBOSS Rollover
Package includes rolling over the existing Central Office VBOSS software per options selected by client. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office OneSource Rollover
Package includes rolling over the existing Central Office OneSource software per options selected by client. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office Application Scanning Rollover
Package includes rolling over the existing Central Office Application Scanning software per options selected by client. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Central Office Free & Reduced Online Application Rollover
Package includes rolling over the existing Central Office Online Application software per options selected by client. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Systems Engineer via remote connectivity to Food Service Server. Note that remote connectivity to Central Office Food Service Server is a prerequisite for service.
Remote Site FastLane or OneSource Rollover (Per Site)
Package includes rolling over existing Site FastLane/OS/KS software. Package includes rolling over manager machine and line machine(s) if available at time of rollover service. If line(s) are unavailable at time of rollover service, client is responsible for validating rollover at line(s). Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Onsite Site FastLane or OneSource Upgrade/Rollover

Package includes: Updating existing Site FastLane/OS/KS software to latest version available at time service is rendered. System upgrade includes manager machines and available line machines. Client will assume responsibility for line machines unavailable at time service is rendered.
Rolling over existing Site FastLane/OS/KS software. Rollover includes manager machine and line machine(s) if available at time of rollover service. If line(s) are unavailable at time of rollover service, client is responsible for validating rollover at line(s).
Services will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member.
Import Services
Direct Certification File Import
Package includes creation of DC import template and importing of DC file as provided by client. Pre- and Post-Enrollment/Eligibility reports. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Rolled Over SIS File Import
Package includes creation of SIS import template (if necessary) and importing of rolled over SIS file as provided by client. Pre- and Post-Enrollment/Eligibility reports. Service will be conducted by a Horizon-Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Enrollment Verification
Enrollment Verification (previously the Data Audit)
Package includes synchronization of enrollment data in Central Office FastLane/OS/KS, Central Office VBOSS/OS/KS Free and Reduced, and District SIS file (if applicable) prior to Rollover. Package is highly recommended for all clients utilizing the Horizon Central Office FastLane and Central Office VBOSS systems.
Service is not needed if option is checked to import actives only student file. Service will be conducted by a Horizon Certified Staff Member via remote connectivity to Food Service Server.
Student ID Conversion
ID Conversion
Package includes the conversion of the current student IDs to a new set of student IDs. This is normally used to support an SIS changeover.
Archive and Server Cleanup Services
OneSource Database Archive
Package includes creation of archived data set prior to Rollover. The end-of-year Database will be renamed and accessed via server desktop shortcut for referencing historical data.
VBOSS Database Archive
Package includes creation of archived data set prior to Rollover. The end-of-year Database will be renamed and accessed via server desktop shortcut for referencing historical data.
Central Office FastLane Database Archive
Package includes creation of archived data set prior to Rollover. The end-of-year Database will be renamed and accessed via server desktop shortcut for referencing historical data.
Application Scanning Database Archive
Package includes creation of archived data set prior to Rollover. The end-of-year database will be renamed and accessed via server desktop shortcut for referencing historical data.
Server Cleanup
Inventory and removal of outdated files, including upgrades, backups, utilities, etc. Communications scheduled tasks are reviewed and tuned as needed.
