OneSource Commodity Management is an all-inclusive module that
makes managing USDA commodities easy and efficient.

Commodities are tracfked from receipt until they are served or discarded. Horizon OneSource™ allows you to automatically allocate commodities—according to site participation, manually, or on a first come-first served basis—saving you time and money. Commodities can be processed and all costs tracked. This module is interfaced with procurement whereby commodities can be ordered as needed, or they can be allocated and disbursed within the module itself.

• Receive commodities using a completely automated process that follows the same procedures as receiving purchased goods—no additional training is required.
• Review commodity allocation prior to order consolidation.
• Print delivery receipts that reflect the computer order total, making it easy to match invoices to receipts.
• Disperse commodities to the schools by automatic allocation based on participation, manual allocation, first come-first served or on an as-needed basis, or order through menu plan ordering and/or shopping list as with purchased goods.
• Send commodities directly to sites or store them at a district or vendor’s warehouse to be dispersed as needed.
• Track processing, storage and/or delivery fees for commodities.
• View inventory values of processed commodities—automatically calculated by the system.
• Sites use receiving tickets to record incoming shipments and enter receiving into OneSource at the end of the day with “one-click” processing.
• System detects if commodities are available and automatically substitutes commodities for purchased goods.
• Turn off the auto substitute feature if desired.
• Save time and money with on-demand reporting, automatic allocation/issuance of commodities and automatic substitution for purchased goods.
