The system was developed from the ground up to be optimized for the web, using the latest available web tools, rather than legacy POS software modified for the web. The innovative user interface was designed in collaboration with the User Experience expert behind the design of POS systems for Starbucks™, Wendy’s®, and Subway™ restaurants. The functionality was developed based on extensive feedback from school nutrition directors and employees across the country throughout the country.
Implementing new core values, enhanced business processes and talent management, Horizon has also made leadership and organizational changes that align with the new brand promise. Horizon has restructured its customer-facing departments and hired accomplished industry leaders to round out its tenured management team.
Twenty-year Horizon veteran leader Robbie Payne has been named Vice President of the newly restructured Customer Experience department, incorporating the technical support, professional services and customer relations teams. Jennifer Lima, as the new Vice President of Human Resources, was hired for her extensive experience and high standards for recruiting and developing talent focused on customer experience. Jennifer spent her early career helping build CareerBuilder from a start-up company to over 2,500 employees world-wide. She’s a certified Professional of Human Resources with more than 10 years’ experience working in the recruitment technology and human capital space.
